Natalie Redmond has been an integral part of Reef Volleyball Club for the past 11 years, playing a vital role in the club’s growth, structure, and success. Her background in science and medicine, combined with her exceptional organizational leadership, brings a unique level of professionalism and care to every aspect of Reef’s operations.
A Westlake High School graduate, Natalie went on to attend UCLA, where she earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. She graduated with Honors as a UCLA Departmental Scholar and was awarded multiple scholarships in recognition of her academic excellence and research achievements.
Following her time at UCLA, Natalie began her career in the biotech industry, working as an Associate Scientist at Amgen in the Department of Discovery Toxicology. She later attended medical school at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine, pursuing a path in healthcare before ultimately shifting her focus to her growing family and joining Reef full time.
Though not a volleyball player by background, Natalie quickly developed a deep appreciation for the sport—something that came naturally after marrying a lifelong coach and founder of Reef, Brock Redmond. Today, she blends her professional skills with her passion for supporting young athletes, managing key aspects of the club’s administration and development behind the scenes.
Natalie and Brock share six wonderful children and live on a small family farm, where she also cares for their German Shepherds and a variety of animals. Her ability to balance family life, club operations, and a high standard of excellence makes her an indispensable part of the Reef family.
