Coach Josh Giron brings a championship mindset, proven leadership, and a passion for developing athletes to Reef Volleyball Club. His commitment to excellence, player development, and building a strong team culture make him an outstanding addition to the Reef coaching staff.
Josh began his volleyball career at Sylmar High School, where he helped lead his team to a CIF City Section Division I Championship while earning First Team All-League honors twice. He continued his playing career at Pierce College as an Opposite/Outside Hitter and is currently pursuing a degree in Psychology and Special Education, reflecting his passion for mentoring and developing young athletes.
Coach Giron has quickly made his mark as both a high school and club coach, leading championship-winning teams while building programs centered on excellence, accountability, and player development. He currently serves as the Head Varsity Coach for both the indoor and beach volleyball programs at Oak Park High School, where his leadership has produced outstanding success, including:
- 2026 CIF Southern Section Beach Volleyball Champions
- 2025 Coastal Canyon League Champions
- 2025 Coastal Canyon League Coach of the Year
- 2025 CIF State Playoff Appearance
His success extends to the club level as well, where his teams have earned:
- 2026 SCSN Championships – Gold Medal
- 2025 SCVA Championships – Silver Medal
