Brock Redmond is the Founder and Head Coach of Reef Volleyball Club, bringing over 25 years of coaching experience across club, high school, and collegiate volleyball. A highly respected figure in Southern California volleyball, Brock is known not only for his deep knowledge of the game but also for his exceptional ability to build successful programs and cohesive teams from the ground up. He excels at developing athletes and fostering team chemistry, understanding that true, sustainable success comes from unity, trust, and intelligent execution—not just raw talent.
Brock’s strategic mindset and calm, analytical approach to the game set him apart. He has a rare ability to read matches in real time and make quick, effective adjustments that give his teams a competitive edge. His leadership and commitment to athlete growth have made a lasting impact at every level he has coached.
He began his volleyball journey at Thousand Oaks High School under Coach Tom Black—now Head Coach at Division I University of Georgia and former coach with both the USA and Canadian National Teams. A natural leader, Brock served as team captain throughout high school and earned First Team All-Marmonte League honors.
He continued his playing career at Pierce College, where he was again named team captain and led the program to a California State Championship.
After college, Brock transitioned into coaching and founded Reef Volleyball Club in 2001. He also coached for three years at Cal Lutheran University, serving as the program’s first assistant and later stepping in as Interim Head Coach. During his time there, he coached under Greg Gibbons, who is now Head Coach at Division I University of the Pacific.
Brock’s influence spans numerous local high schools, including Thousand Oaks, Oak Park, Westlake, Newbury Park (where he was Varsity Head Coach for three years), and Oaks Christian Middle School. For the past 18 years, he has served as the Head Coach of the girls indoor, boys indoor, and sand volleyball programs at Agoura High School.
A six-time Marmonte League Coach of the Year and the 2019 John Crow Coach of the Year, Brock has also received national recognition. He was selected to represent the SCVA High Performance Program at the Global Challenge in Croatia for six consecutive years, coaching elite athletes on the international stage.
Under Brock’s visionary leadership, Reef Volleyball Club has earned numerous medals and championship titles, growing into one of the most successful and respected volleyball programs in the region.
Off the court, Brock is a devoted husband to his wife Natalie and proud father of six. When he’s not in the gym, he finds time to tend to their small family farm—raising sheep, pigs, chickens, dogs, and their cat—balancing his competitive drive with a grounded, family-centered lifestyle.
